Storm Pro Motion is today’s second ball we reviewed. The Storm Pro Motion heavy oil bowling ball has a spec solid cover. It was launched with Storm Crux Prime. The Pro Motion is distinguished from the other two BELMO balls, Timeless and Drive, by its lightweight piston core.
Although the differential is identical, the RG is lower. This makes it more pliable and revs up more. The spec coverstock looks very different from the covers of the other two. It doesn’t matter if you liked the Timeless cover or not.
Storm Pro Motion has absolutely nothing in common with them, reaction-wise. It’s obvious, I believe.
Overview I have to be honest and say that I didn’t like either of the BELMO balls before. The Drive was my favorite, but the Timeless was not for me.
It is a completely different experience with the Storm Pro Motion. It’s almost like a mix of the Phaze Two and the IDOL or the IQ Tour. Or at least, it feels the same.
It is not as fast as the IDOL, and it is not as slow as the IQ Tour. It’s just as versatile as the Phaze Two and maybe even more. It is strong on control and continuation. But its greatest strength is the spec cover. It seems to combine all the best parts of those balls.
This cover is more accurate than any other I have ever used. It blends the pattern beautifully. It’s not as sensitive to transition as some balls.

Storm Pro Motion is less susceptible to performance loss than traditional reactive. It also has a slower oil absorption rate that allows it to blend the lane.

Storm Pro Motion Vs. Storm Incite. Storm Incite tend to be late and is actually quite boomy on the backend when there is enough volume upfront. You need to make sure it has enough oil or it will burn up. It will be either straight or of the end due to Nano and cover
Storm Pro Motion Vs. Storm Phaze Two The Storm Phaze Two is the gold standard in tournament balls for the past couple of years.
Kris Prather is a big fan of it, and it’s often on TV for both men and women. Even with my pin-down layout, it can be a bit too fast downlane from straighter angles. However, this is where the IDOL shines – provided you have enough oil.
The Phaze Two prefers to have a bit more fun when they can roll it more.
Advantage The Storm Pro Motion bowling ball takes on both the control and the role of the idol, but with a sweeter part than the Phaze Two.
It’s also an excellent complement to Storm Crux Prime. Different shapes are available, but they all have the same field because of the unique reaction characteristics of the spec covers. Although the Prime excels at controlling angles, it is slow on the back end and can become too flat when carrying down or when the reactions are soft downlane.
It is perfect for a Nationals team pattern. The Storm Pro Motion is great on singles and doubles, but not on singles or doubles.

The layout 65 x 4 x 40 is suitable for the IQ Tour Emerald. Although some may find this layout unusual, it is what I use. Because the differential in this core is so low, it’s possible to use a stronger, continuous pin position without it flaring and therefore being earlier than you would like.
This one is a simple story. This is a remake of the legendary IQ Tour Pearl, also known as the Gold Bowl.
This ball offers a smoother change in direction downlane thanks to its lightweight C3 centripetal control center and R2S pearl reactive coverstock.
Storm IQ Tour Emerald is a smooth and rolly ball. However, the layout makes it more aggressive. Although the angles of the second arrow were difficult, I was able to soften them and it worked. This is why I loved the layout so much.
This core and cover combination really controlled the mid-lane. The lane is smooth through the heads, but it starts to roll quite heavy halfway down due to a weaker layout. Due to the low differential, you have a limit on how deep you can go with an IQ.
If I push harder with the pin, I get a stronger read and firmer moves downlane. This allows me to play more angles while still getting the hit.

Storm Sure Lock is the strongest storm bowling ball you’ll ever throw. It was amazing to see this ball start so early and look great down the lane.
This heavy oil ball features a RAD-X core with a larger hooking bulb. This ensures more pin carry and consistent downlane continuation. It responds well to friction and slows down without burning any energy.

Sure Lock can be rolled a little flat on an oil pattern from medium to heavy. This will allow you to move the ball slightly to the right. It is a very similar color to Virtual Gravity and has great shelf appeal. This ball is a great choice.
Storm Sure Lock vs. Storm Lock
Storm Lock is about three to four boards weaker than Storm Sure Lock. It’s also a bit smoother and not as jumpy or quick to respond as Sure Lock.

In July, the Hy-Road Pearl will turn seven years old. There is a reason why it has lasted this long. A Pearl version of R2S was created by taking inspiration from the Hy-Road. It was wrapped around the inverted FE2 Core.

The Hy-Road Pearl can be found a line by making a few adjustments. It’s just as versatile as the original HyRoad and is therefore suitable for most bowlers in those conditions. If the conditions are right, it will play just as well as from fifth arrow. Only a handful of bowls can boast this kind of playability.
